In the Neighborhood

We had a visit recently from Dale Turken, our neighbor in Suite 700. He came by to see the renovations in our office and was impressed with the changes we have made. The open space, the views out the windows, and the artwork on the walls help bring out our creativity. Dale is the owner of Providential Bancorp, Inc., one of the nation’s fastest growing online mortgage companies. Since their inception in 1999,they have grown from just a few employees in their Chicago office to nearly 200 employees scattered in 9 offices in 8 different states. We appreciate having a growing company next door that models the way in innovation and customer service- two core values that drive us at M2J Think Box.

New Office

We recently moved into our new space after a few weeks in a temporary facility. It is definitely good to have a place to call home! We are in Suite 708 at 900 N. Franklin Street in Chicago. Looking south we see the skyline of the Loop and the Willis Tower. Looking west we see the the EL tracks and hear the Brown and Purple Line trains rumble by, with the Chicago Avenue stop a couple of blocks away. We are a block east of busy Orleans Street and a block west of Moody Bible Institute. We have decorated our 2500 square feet of space with limited edition prints of some of the musical geniuses of the past 50 years, shot by photographer John Rowlands .

IKEA Shopping, M2J Style

To outfit our new office (more on that soon), members of our team made the trek to the Bolingbrook IKEA for some furniture, lingonberry juice, and a real world game of Tetris. While successfully packing the car took longer than finding what we wanted, deciding on a color scheme and locating the items in IKEA's hamster-farm of a warehouse, we had a great time reliving our Game Boy days by filling the back of our team member's SUV with such precision, we did not have to leave anyone behind.

Who Are We?

What's in a name? We are M2J Think Box, a Chicago-based company -- so does the M2J in our name refer to some sort of second coming of Michael Jordan? The name comes from the names of our three founders, George and Harry Michaelides (father and son, M2) and Jordan Gilman (J). In our day to day operations we do have a "Michael Jordan"; our Chief Marketing Officer is Michael Miller, an Indiana University graduate with a BA in English, and our CEO is Jordan Gilman, a software developer with a BS, Informatics and Computer Science at Indiana University - Bloomington.
